Package fresh, ready-to-eat, string cheese into individual and bulk-sized packages, and then box the finished, packaged product ensuring that correct labeling and identification information is used throughout the entire packaging process.
The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; frequently lift up to 25 pounds; constantly walk, stand, bend, twist, reach forward, and use hands for simple grasping and fine manipulation.
Second shift usually starts at 2:00 pm and ends after all the cheese is packaged (usually about 10 hours), Monday – Friday and Saturdays as needed.
Maintain various critical manufacturing and plant operational equipment including extensive preventative maintenance responsibilities.
The position requires the ability to constantly walk and stand; frequently lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift up to 75 pounds; and frequently bend, twist, squat, stoop, kneel, and crawl. Dairy or food manufacturing experience is a plus. Electrical experience is also preferred.
Scheduled hours will be 6:00 pm – 6:00 am on a rotating schedule of 5 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and 5 days off.
Receive and load milk and all other fluid material along with completing applicable sanitation duties while maintaining high food quality and food safety standards.
The position requires the ability to constantly walk and stand and to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
The typical schedule is Thursday/Friday 3:00 am – 2:00 pm and Saturday/Sunday 11:00 am – 9:00 pm. However, occasional flexibility will be required as this position will cover for department absences, which could include different days and/or times.
Support line maintenance by monitoring packaging machines, changing packaging film, and moving pallets to maintain efficient operations within the packaging department.
